we have modified Intel's libraries to work with our system Wyliodrin (www.wyliodrin.com). We added shoftIn and shiftOut functions. You can find the code here libwyliodrin/arduinogalileo/arduino at master · Wyliodrin/libwyliodrin · GitHub. The functions are in wiringShift.c, they are from the wiringPi library.
