What happens that results in the blackscreen failure? | After sending displays to sleep mode, they will not wake up. When (also) using a Displaylink Adapter, only the Displaylink device will wake up, any display connected to the GPU remains black until the computer is rebooted or the Graphics Driver is reinstalled. The issue occured on the factory image as well as with a fresh installation of Windows 8.1; with the factory GPU Driver as well as on the latest Driver, with or without Displaylink GPU and Driver installed, and with or without any monitor connected (also occurs on internal display). I am typically running a quadruple-screen setup (Internal Display + Dell U2713HM + 2x Dell S2409W). Since the internal GPU only supports three screens at a time, one of them is connected via Displaylink. However, this issue occurs regardless of the number of displays connected (even when the Laptop is running on its own, the internal display does not wake up). |
