Hello Callicles, I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your system when trying to rebuild your RAID array.
I was able to find out that your system is using the X79 chipset, therefore I suggest you downloading version 12.9.

This version supported the following operating systems
Windows Server 2008 *, Windows 7 *, Windows 8*, Windows 8.1*, Windows Server 2008 R2*, Windows Server 2012* Download Center
If you are still getting the same message after the installation of version 12.9, the issue could be related to the RAID structure and it could possible that there is a problem with one of the hard drives. I would recommend you to back up all your data.
