thanks. i'm well aware of all of that. my system complies x eleventy billion. i have tried every possible combination of software installation known to man. it still tells me no matter what that my video hardware is not compatible and that my graphics driver can't find or load necessary components. i've already gone over this several months ago though.
nobody at Intel or Dell can tell me what specifically makes a WiDi-equipped Inspiron 17R SE different from a non-WiDi equipped machine. whilst researching this for months and months, i found on the Lenovo forums (of all places) that there might be a problem with integrated graphics not being able to be called upon with the video card (Nvidia GeForce GT 650M) even though it supposedly has Optimus switching capability.
