Re: error 0_ in bottom right after changing msconfig

Ok so I am having same problem.  I noticed that I had the RightSurf adware on my machine.  Of course, Norton Internet Security could not detect it.  Even their PME cleaner doesn't recognize it.  So after looking up how to fix it online, I saw that I could just delete the files manually.  However, you have to be in safe mode to delete some of the files.

I tried restarting to get to "Safe Mode" but hitting the F8 button did nothing for me when I rebooted.  So I read that I could reboot into "Safe Mode" using msconfig.  So I set msconfig to boot in "Safe Mode" only to get the same error or 0 displayed in bottom right hand corner like Coffeee is.  I get this immediately after the BIOS boots up.  It does not matter what I try to boot from CD or USB.  It appears the boot up from the CD or USB is working but because I cannot see anything on the screen expect for the 0, it doesn't do me much good.  I can't see to select what I need to do to attempt to fix anything.  I tried randomly selecting things but now I feel like I have really messed up my system.  I have also tried the following:

1)  I can get into the BIOS so I reset everything to factory default.  No luck.

2)  I reflashed my BIOS.  Still no luck.

3)  I have tried booting up from the Norton Bootable Recovery disc, the Windows 7 Professional installation disc, Parted Magic Disc, and the Windows Defender Offline Disc.  Again, it appears that the discs are working.  If I hit enter my hard drive activity light gets active for a while but without being able to see what to select I have gotten nowhere.  The only note here is that the Parted Magic Disc causes the system to go into continuious reboots.

4)  I have even disconnected my original windows boot hard drive (the SSD) and then tried booting the other discs.  Still no luck.

So I am running with the following system:

Intel 7 2700K processor

PG670BG Intel motherboard with 16GB of RAM

Intel 128GB SSD drive (This is my Windows 7 System drive)

1.4TB Raid 5 Drives (three WD 750 GB HD)

Nvidia GTX 770 graphics card

If I could get anything other than the initial BIOS window to boot up I think I can fix it but no matter what I do as soon as it leaves the BIOS screen, I get the 0 in the lower right corner of the screen.  I thought maybe my video card went bad but that doesn't make sense because it works just fine for navigating though the BIOS screens.
