Is there any consensus on how to resolve this issue? I have a 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance RAM and have had a lot of the issues described here - I've never really had time to sit down and do a full diagnostic, just keep hoping a BIOS update will fix it. I tried the most recent one and it's still a problem. On a whim, I pulled out one of the two RAM sticks and it seems quite a bit more stable. With two RAM sticks in (regardless of the memory profile chosen in the BIOS) the computer would randomly freeze - no logs, no POST codes, just sit there stuck until I turned it off. This would happen very often, especially if the mouse was left unmoved for more than a few minutes. When rebooting, it would often take 3 or more attempts (usually needed to pull the power entirely) to get it to actually POST. With 1 memory module in, it usually successfully powers on in 1 or two attempts and will not hang. It will occasionally still hard reset itself though which is kind of disturbing...
Both DIMMS passed memory tests. The only other thing I can think of is the video card, which is a little older: GTX570HD - but as far as I understand, so long as I use legacy BIOS (since the EVGA 500 series cards apparently didn't have secure boot BIOS) it should be fine.
If there are other RAM modules that work better than the Vengeance series, I'm more than willing to just get new ones - I am just tired of the instability.
