Well, first you'd have to unzip (bunzip2 iot-devkit-201402201605-mmcblkp0.direct.bz2) and then to copy to the SD card (e.g. dd if=iot-devkit-201402201605-mmcblkp0.direct of=/dev/sd<whatever the SD card is> bs=4M conv=fsync).
