Just built a system with an I5-4670k (but I have not overclocked it) on a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-U3DH board. Getting fatal hardware error from the processor. Processor is running cool, but just in case, I cleaned it up and reapplied the thermal paste. I get this random BSOD about once a day mainly when the system is nearly idle. Have a hard time believing its a heat issue because this system runs relatively cool and it doesn't crash when I put a load on it through an intensive video game or prime95. Ran the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and the processor passed. Here's the Bugcheck Analysis. I'm an amateur at reading these, but best I can tell I'm getting a fatal error from the processor (not related to some driver). Not sure what thermald.exe is...almost nothing on internet about it. Just hate to send processor back if there are other things I can check (bios is latest edition as are all drivers). Any help appreciated.
