I am running the win 7 install dvd from an ide dvd drive and have tried several f6 drivers from both a floppy drive and serveral of the usb ports. Each time it finds the ich10r raid and says installing only to give the fail message several min later "no new devices can be found..."
Exactly how would I install the win 7 disk a different way
Your issue obviously has nothing to do with a wrong or missing RAID driver, but with a corrupted installer resp. installation medium (your Win7 DVD).
The best way to solve it is to search for an untouched original Win7 ISO file, create a bootable USB flash drive by using a tool like the Microsoft "Win7 USB-DVD Tool" and boot off this Win7 installation medium. It is safer and the installation will be faster than with any Win7 DVD.
EDIT:
By the way: For your ICH10R RAID system I recommend to use the Intel RST driver v11.2.0.1006 WHQL.
