Re: Collaborating to develop a "devtools" version of Linux which is Arduino IDE compatable

Why isn't there simply a distribution with devtools coming straight from Intel with the rest of the links? There are plenty of great developers and artists out there who have never needed Linux to make great things with code. Using Linux and command line tools is not difficult, but asking code artists to spend time going through the process of building their own distribution just to add gcc and make is ridiculous. It's an absurdly high barrier of entry which I think is going to lock a lot of talent out of this great piece of hardware.

At least these things, please. We can work from there. We can code, but we need to be able to easily slam in the libraries we use all the time, build code on the device, and install some additional software and maybe drivers with an easier package manager.
