Hi Jason,
I was just pointing out that some people, myself included, don't have that specific aspect option on my TV and also that when you apply the fix you need to set the aspect ratio to something other than 16:9. Since 1920*1080 is 16:9 that makes it sound like some sort of signal generation(hardware/driver) problem to me.
With that said, my knowledge in this area is somewhat limited but therein lies the reasoning behind the Workaround/Solution argument.
