One more thing, I wonder if the connection process passes the pin code exchange. So, it may be possible to generate a runtime log that will be more useful than the installation logs I mentioned above.
Please try the following:

- Exit Intel® WiDi application
- Launch Regedit.exe
- Navigate to the following path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Intel Corporation\Intel WiDi
- Create a new DWORD (32) key named LogEnable
- Set the value of LogEnable = 1
- Exit Regedit.exe
Log files are created for each Intel® WiDi session: the duration of the Intel® WiDi application being launched and then closed.
The log file is created immediately after launching the Intel® WiDi application and can be opened at any time.
The log files are stored in C:\Users\<userID>\AppData\Local
The name of the log files are WiDiLog.<date>.<time>.wdl
