Eclipse C++ Saving Programs to the Edison and running them permanently

So I was able to successfully run the given examples in Eclipse using the C++ projects.
Now that I can run them on the board, how do I save the programs I write to the Intel Edison?
Why can I not find any documentation on this process?
How do I then make the programs I create in Eclipse with C++ permanently run on the Intel Edison after a reboot?!!
