I can't run Custommodeapp.exe either-- nothing happens. Brand new Lenovo Think Centre M83 i7 Win7 with Intel HD 4600 graphics cards.
Trying to get my Dell 3007WFP monitor to display 2560x1600 .. currently stuck at 1280x800. I have team viewer if someone at Intel wants to see.
From command line, C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\kit58942.inf_amd64_neutral_9bed2a7e37663519\CustomModeApp.exe immediately returns without doing anything.
