Re: Official Black-screen thread - We need your help!

The Intel Support Chat Agent just told me to use Windows 7 to solve the problem. Which I will have to buy. Thanks Intel.

So the logic is this:

There are functional Windows 8.1 drivers that come with Windows. (And I'm sure they come from Intel).

Both Intel and Microsoft encourage and softly force people to constantly update drivers (and other things).

An (important!) Windows Update breaks these drivers. Microsoft doesn't do anything to fix the problem.

Intel releases their own Windows 8.1 drivers, that don't fix the problem either.

For mentally sane people the solution to this would obviously be to offer a way to downgrade to the older functional drivers. Why don't you simply do that?

But for Intel (and for Microsoft) the solution apparently is: Waiting and doing nothing but having a little chit-chat in the support forum.

I really wonder, is this funny to you or what's wrong with you people?

Seriously, give me one good reason why you don't offer the old Windows 8.1 drivers for download to solve the issue.
