These are some suggestions that may help:

  • Do a complete uninstall of the Intel® USB 3.0 driver from Programs and Features before installing again. This may have a different effect compared to the uninstall process from Device Manager.
  • Check if there is a difference between using Intel® USB 3.0 back panel ports compared to front panel ports; just to discard an issue with the front panel itself.
  • Check if the hard drive manufacturer offers a firmware update.
  • You may also test a different USB 3.0 device.

Otherwise, you may need to contact the board manufacturer for assistance.
