The Intel® SSDs that support encryption include this feature always enabled and transparent for the user. This feature is not related to TPM*, Bitlocker* or any other encryption mechanism.
The only thing needed to start using this feature is to enter the Hard Drive password in your system BIOS, once you do that the data is encrypted and cannot be accessed if the drive is stolen, unless you have the password.
